In
addition to her many roles within our chapter, Carolyn also shares her
musical talent and leadership skills outside of Cincinnati Sound. Carolyn became an Approved
Arranger in Sweet Adelines in 1982. Her
creative arrangements are popular all over the world.
We are proud to be singing one of Carolyn’s original
arrangements in our Competition package, “Love Letters.”
Carolyn holds the distinct honor of being the Judge
Specialist in the Music Category for Sweet Adelines International
(which means Carolyn is the
leader of the very select group of Judges who preside at SAI
competitions.) Carolyn
has judged every International competition since 1993 - except in 1995,
when she competed as a member of Seven Hills on the International stage
in New Orleans!
Carolyn currently sings bass, but in 1972 she sang tenor
with Region #4’s Quartet Champions, “The Silver Sounds.”
Her next quartet, “Changing Times”, went on to represent
Seven Hills and Region #4 several times at
International Competition, each time singing Carolyn’s original
arrangements.
Carolyn,
thank you for your lifelong contributions to Seven Hills,
Cincinnati Sound, and the Sweet Adeline International
organization!
