Very Large Quartet.
In Barbershop Harmony, a VLQ is a performing group bigger than a quartet but smaller than a chorus. Originally created in the BHS for 6 to 13 singers, many VLQs are now larger, especially in larger choruses, adding flexibility to public performances and increasing opportunities for singers to develop new skills. |

A new
ensemble of 25 - 30 female singers
is now being formed! This will be an elite group of a cappella singers who will be directed by Paul Coleman. The group will rehearse twice a month and will perform their own repertoire, as well as a few CSC repertoire songs. There will also be an opportunity to perform some 8 part arrangements with The Southern Gateway Vocal Express, also under Paul's direction. If you are interested in being a part of this Very Large Quartet (VLQ), auditions will be held on Wednesdays, September 16th and September 23rd. There will be no additional cost to be a member of this ensemble, and all proceeds from this group's performances will go directly to the CSC treasury. Master Director Lynn Hartmuth and the CSC Management Team fully support this effort to make Cincinnati Sound Chorus a stronger influence in our community and to provide a venue for improving your vocal skills and performance techniques outside of our regular Monday night chorus rehearsal setting.
